Can Roqueta

This single-family building, located at the confluence of the streets of the Sèquia, Circumval·lació and the road to Vic, is a notable example of Manresa Noucentisme from the 1920s, the work of architect Roderic Sala. It is part of a residential setting with buildings from the late 19th century and the first quarter of the 20th century, formerly mixed with industrial uses.

With a ground floor plus 2 (ground floor, first floor and attic), the building stands out for its symmetrical composition, the careful treatment of the façade with simulated ashlar in relief, a frieze with sgraffito and a moulded cornice. It has original metalwork elements, louvered shutters and decorative balconies that reinforce its academic and elegant aesthetic.

Interest for filming:

The building offers an authentic Noucentista atmosphere, with great scenic value for productions set in the first third of the 20th century. It preserves an old cellar inside, maintained as it originally was, ideal for scenes related to the world of wine or traditional activities of the Bages region. Its good state of exterior conservation, together with its emblematic and recognizable presence in the urban landscape of Manresa, make it an ideal location for filming projects seeking a classic, distinguished, and historically characterful aesthetic.

Added value:

Considered a local heritage landmark, especially linked to the wine-making tradition of Bages. It is a recognized icon of the Vic road and faithfully preserves the values of Catalan Noucentisme
