II Forum of Documentalists
Manresa hosted the second edition of the Documentary Filmmakers Forum on January 17, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain with the support of PROA-PRODOCS. The event included five open roundtables and professional meetings with the aim of generating synergies within the sector.
During the forum, key issues in contemporary documentary filmmaking were addressed, such as production models, the creative process, and the ethical limits of the genre. The participants highlighted the importance of financial resources in decision-making and defended the role of documentary as a tool for addressing uncomfortable and socially relevant topics.
The overall assessment of the gathering has been very positive, helping to strengthen ties and promote collaboration among sector professionals at the national level.
