Agulla Park

Parc de l'Agulla is located on the outskirts of Manresa, toward Santpedor. The park was created with the construction of Lake l'Agulla, which was built between 1966 and 1974, after being completely lined with concrete slabs.

Typology/Elements

The lake has a surface area of 64,000 m2 and a capacity of 200,000 m3, which ensures a reserve for Manresa for more than a week. The main functions of the Agulla lake are: water reserve in case of a failure in the canal and in case of works, daily consumption regulation.
The lake is surrounded by a park with 688 trees of twenty different species and, in addition, some water-related sports activities can be practiced there. In the park we find the Visitor Center of the Parc de la Sèquia, a bar, an ice cream kiosk, and children's play areas.

Other information

During the Festa Major of Manresa, the fireworks display takes place.
