Plana de l'Om

The Plana de l’Om, known by that name because of the tree that has presided over it for many years, is one of the most typical squares in the city. There we can find some of the buildings that bear witness to Manresa’s Baroque past, such as Ca l'Oller, a 17th-century Baroque manor house featuring a central courtyard covered with a dome and lantern.

We also find the building that houses the Fundació Caixa Manresa, which was once the workshop of the Baroque sculptors Grau and still preserves ornamentation of this style on the façade. It is currently an exhibition hall. On the corner with Carrer del Born is the Esteve pharmacy, a model example of an establishment decorated according to Modernist principles: stained-glass windows, carved wood, and wrought iron. Finally, we find the sculpture "A l'ombra" by Ramon Oms, which depicts a woman seated under the elm tree.
