Els Corrals

Popular path built in the 18th century located on the cliff of Puigcardener, just below the Seu of Manresa, in an area of steep slope. At the top of the path there are rock strata with natural vegetation and it is difficult to landscape. At the bottom, the buildings that covered the arches have been removed and they can be seen completely.

Typology/Elements

Set of stone arches that support the path that borders the slope of Puigcardener on the south and southwest side, in the gorge created by the erosion of the river itself and the Sant Ignasi stream. These are arches of different heights and sizes that adapt to the terrain and the path layout and serve as buttresses for the path's retaining wall. The structure is made of irregular ashlars in both the wall and the voussoirs.
