Interpretation Centre of Carrer del Balç

Carrer del Balç is a unique space of medieval origin (14th century) located in the heart of the historic center of Manresa, distinguished by its narrow, winding layout and its complete coverage beneath the arches of the houses. This labyrinthine and singular architecture responds to the need to make use of the scarce space of the old walled city, adapting to the unevenness of the terrain. Currently, the site houses an interpretation center inside an old noble house where, through a multimedia installation centered on the figure of King Peter III the Ceremonious, visitors can discover what everyday life, the guilds, and society of the time were like. This very special setting, where theatrical tours and cultural or gastronomic activities are usually scheduled, offers an authentic journey back in time for any visitor or project, although works to adapt and improve accessibility are currently being carried out there.
