Regulatory framework
The management of data protection by the Manresa City Council is based on the following legal framework:

Purpose of data processing
The data provided to the Manresa City Council through different means, contact forms, surveys or procedures used during collection is carried out in accordance with current data protection legislation and solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.
Each of these means includes detailed information about the purpose of the data processing, which will be performed only and exclusively if such processing has been authorized.

- Provision of services and municipal procedures: Information will be processed to manage the requested procedure or service. Data may be transferred to third parties if the service requires it and to comply with the competences of the City Council.

- Citizen Participation: We will process the data to manage the citizen participation process and to respond to proposals and questions raised. Data will not be transferred to third parties.
- Contact mailbox, complaints or suggestions: We will process the data to respond to requests, questions or doubts raised. Data will not be transferred to third parties.
The data retention period is determined by a risk analysis for each processing activity in relation to the Document Classification Chart approved by the City Council. In any case, the retention period for your data will be determined by the service requested, and may be retained as part of the administrative procedure as established by law, within the scope of municipal obligations and competences.
Only the data you have provided for the informed and authorized purpose will be processed. There is no third-party processing of the data, and data will not be transferred to third parties unless expressly authorized or legally permitted.
The legal basis for data processing is the execution of the City Council’s competences and providing the services requested by you.
In no case will automated decisions be made based on your data.
The user provides their data voluntarily at all times and is informed of its use and processing. All information provided by the user must be truthful. The user is solely responsible for any false or inaccurate statements and damages caused to the City Council or third parties. The City Council reserves the right to exclude from services any user who has provided false data, without prejudice to other legal actions that may apply.
Rights of the data subjects
At any time, one may request and obtain information about how and why the City Council is processing the data:
- Access to the data: request which data the City Council has and for what purposes, and exercise the right to data portability if applicable.
- Rectify the data: request modification or correction of inaccurate data.
- Delete the data: request that the data be deleted and no further processing carried out, except where a regulation requires retention.
- Restrict the processing: request restricted use of the data according to your requirements.
- Object to a processing activity: request that specific data not be used, except where usage is mandatory by law. The Catalan Data Protection Authority (www.apdcat.cat) is the supervisory body that ensures compliance with data protection legislation in the Catalan Public Administration. If you believe that the City Council has violated any provision of this regulation, you may file a complaint with them.
